Four Reasons To Do Your Engagement Photos With Your Wedding Photographer- A Coral and Blue Engagement Session By the Lake- Vanessa & Myles– Abilene, Texas

Vanessa and Myles had a coral and blue engagement session by the lake in Abilene, Texas a few weeks ago.

I loved meeting this couple and seeing the wonderful chemistry they had with each other. They are getting married next August at Tangled Hearts and I couldn’t be more excited for them!
Here’s four reasons why I think you should have your engagement session with the wedding photographer you want to book with.

1. You get to know each other and see if your personalities are a good fit. This can literally make or break the flow of your wedding day!

2. You get to see their posing style and how they pose you. Natural, formal, stiff, fun? Were you comfortable around them? Did they make you feel at ease about having your photos taken for the wedding day?

3. When you look at their website and social media, you should know the exact style they have, without any doubts. Are they up to date on their sites? Does their style stay the same or is it constantly changing with every wedding or session? This is usually a red flag that you could end up with photos you don’t like and you want to avoid that if you can.

4. This last one may sound silly, but is he/she organized and responsive to your emails and questions you may have? Was their promised turnaround time for your engagement photos honored? This is very important because no one likes waiting around weeks or months later for your wedding photos or for a response to your question or email.
So yes, definitely try to have your engagement photos done by the wedding photographer you want to book with. It may save you the regret of booking with the wrong one!

Here’s a peek of just a few of my favorites from Vanessa and Myles’ engagement photos. I loved the trees and greenery and how it went so well with their colors. 🙂
